Yes, oui, oui ouuuui… I can’t help myself, when I am asked to kindly be a bridal model for a day, how can I possibly say non?!? Spend the day at a castle, get my hair and make-up done by THE BEST beauty artist I have ever met, wear a CUSTOM MADE dress!!!!! Prance around in front of a camera, and dwell among pretty things all day, not to mention creative women?!? Who would say no to that?!?
So the Prête-Moi Paris 4 year blogiversary fête was a hit and a success. Complete with a vintage fashion show, champagne, and a raffle for prizes, it was a feast of pink fluff, cupcakes and DIY!
Sion of Paris Imperfect and Gail of Perfectly Paris ; Meg of De Quelle Planète Es-Tu? Lisa of Ella Coquine Mary Kay of Out And About in Paris and Patricia of Patricia Parisienne have all written posts on the event. Thanks ladies! You make me sound waaay too fab! *blushing*
It was a fabulous gathering of our little blogging community in Paris, most of us expats, but a Frenchy and a best friend or two and the crowd was well mixed albeit largely feminine (yeah girl power!). Chéri high-tailed it far away for the evening. Something tells me all those pink puff scared him a little. But being the absolute chéri that he is, he helped me clean up every last sequin sparkle and cupcake crumb when it was all over. I am truly a lucky woman.
Mario of the blog/project : Someone Once Told Me, asked me to participate in his endeavor and met me earlier this Summer on the Pont Alexandre III. I offered him a phrase out of my expat life. One that means something to me. Check it out on the link just above.
Mario, He’s a very cool guy with many ideas and LOTS of energy. He’s…um traveling the world, yep, the world, with his concept.

Watch out! He may head to your city soon and ask you what someone once told you!
Summer time in Paris makes everything slow down a little as Parisians head off for vacation land. The city adopts an air of a small provincial town sometimes during the months of July and August. Île Saint Louis is one of the best places to get that picturesque and calm pedestrian side of Paris this Summer.
Enjoy my photos!
So as you may have seen from the amount of tweets and instagrams the other day, Prête-Moi Paris had a fun style photo shoot in Paris involving some FAAAABULOUS collaborations (see below).
But a lot of photo and video editing needs to happen before I can show you the results.
I know everyone wants a sneak peek! So I thought I would ease your curiosity and give you one! Continue reading
Another one of my occasional collections of pictures of my city.
I can’t help myself when I wander these streets, snapping pictures is an uncontrollable habit now. But then I suppose as far as uncontrollable habits go, it is a pretty cool one!
So, bridal modeling seems to be somewhat of a partime pro-bono vocation for me lately… I mean what’s not to love about getting primped and dolled up, putting on a frilly gown and prancing around in front of a camera! I mean who wouldn’t want ot do that!?!
So when Lyndsey Kent of Pictours Paris sent out a tweet looking for models to shoot a promo for her new bridal services and wedding package, I was all about that!
As Summer draws to a close I thought it would be nice to show you my favorite place to relax in Paris this season. The Crillon has one of the most tranquil, pretty and soothing places to sit quietly and enjoy a beverage with a friend or two. Le Jardin d’Hiver patio. Jardin d’hiver, means winter garden, but it’s my little escape in the Summer time. Continue reading

So you all remember the Marie Antoinette shoot I did about a year ago right? Sadly Sonia Akono of SGA Events, for whom we did the shoot had stalled her wedding planning business for the time being, but Frédérique Sivadier of the Wedding Tea Room has been building hers! (She did the decoration on the Marie Antoinette shoot). Lucky me who has found an amazing friend in Fréd, and get to work with her on her projects, as a model! (Fred was also an angel sent from heaven and helped me with the conception, and set up of my wedding decoration and the creation of my bon-bon bar).
I was still on cloud nine, freshly married for a few days only, and I got to hope on the regional train with my friend Quinn, to go model for this wedding inspration shoot that Fréd has been planning for about 9 months! Entitled : Gourmandises et douceur de vivre à la Française, is was full of fresh air fun, frolicking and frilly frocks, and what absolute fun to shar the experience with my dear friend Quinn. Quinn played the bride, and I played the bridesmaid. Continue reading

There is a continuation this season of a certain cut, line and silouhette from Didit Hediprasetyo that segways nicely from last season’s couture collection, but presented with an injection of a bit more romance and quite a few more whimsical details.
The most immediate of those details being the color : a shimmering and delicate lavender shade, that when paired with the jet black coiffs of the models and the piercing ice colored eyes, gives of an idea of winter love and beauty. Continue reading
