After two months of planning and preparation, Prête-Moi Paris was finally able to celebrate 7 years of blogging with a circle of amazing bloggers and friends at the luxurious Hotel Bel Ami. To help us celebrate we invited Le Bijou Parisien and Le Cadeau Français as well as Bertie’s Cupcakery to join us for the fun. Our generous “co-hosts” offered up their best products to help us party in style!
Bertie’s Cupcakery served up a slew of mini cupcakes in a salted caramel flavor that was to die for, and a stunning cake of the same flavor decorated just for us! Bobbie of Bertie’s Cupcakery told me that the cake would probably have leftovers since Parisians don’t often like to eat whole slices of cake at parties…well Bobbie, the cake was entirely polished off! Not a crumb was left!!!! Thank you so much for your generosity and your amazing baking talents. We are in love with your cakes (with real American buttercream frosting…oh yeah!). You can enjoy baking classes with Bobbie at her Cake Studio in the 5th (a great gift idea for the upcoming holidays!).
Le Bijou Parisien came bearing their fashion that is taking Paris by storm. Excellent quality embroidered Paris Metro inspired shirts, embroidered sweatshirts, printed t-shirts and cuff bracelets for all of us to drool over until the drawing at the end of the evening where one lucky winner (Kasia Dietz) received the oh so coveted sweatshirt! I modeled the Saint Germain embroidered sweatshirt all evening. So chic with my green Hermès pumps! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Philippe and Aurélien who raced over after the closing hour of their pop-up shop in le Marais at 6 rue des Archives 75004, Paris.
I felt like I fit in perfect with the decorum at our gracious host’s venu…the most charming boutique hotel in Paris, Hotel Bel Ami. As my readers know, I fell in love at first sight when I first visited this five star hotel because of the Hermès wall paper. But beyond the interior design lies a hotel with the most incredible service you could hope for. The staff was so accommodating and so helpful you will be in good hands dining or staying at this fine establishment. One lucky blogger won a brunch for two at the hotel, Julie of Le Paris de Julie who has the prettiest instagram account I’ve been watching lately!
Sebastien the head barman created some killer cocktails for the evening’s drink menu : The Melissa Martini and the Prête-Moi Paris. Oh fancy!
Thank you to the entire staff at Hotel Bel Ami for making our event so chic!
And Le Cadeau Français, whom we met because of a little window display on a tiny street in the 8th arrondissment, joined in the party and showed everyone their fun gift boxes that would go perfect under the Christmas tree this holiday season, or as the perfect Paris gift anytime! Alfred was generous with a box as a gift to a lucky winner at the end of the evening, Mary Odile a long time pal of mine that I met my second year blogging! Thank you Alfred for being a part of the evening and offering up a piece of your Paris to us!
Our refreshments came last minute but they arrived, phew! Beers from the most local brewery you can get, the beer La Parisienne. Blond brews and amber ales were sipped by all of our hipster lips, as we devoured Bertie’s Cupcakery cake, and instagramed furiously. Thank you to the best brews in the city of light for helping make our party pop and fizz.
And thank you to all of those of you who showed up for the fun. It’s always a treat to see you all. Life gets so busy and then a couple years go by, and we realize that we haven’t seen each other in ages!
And to Frank and Paula, who were the best of friends anyone could ask for, helped me prepare, deal with crisis, and execute a lovely little soirée.
*Bisous to you all!*
