One month, one month has passed… the most mind blowing month of my life. I am forever changed. I am now a mama.
I have only blogged once about my pregnancy, not wanting to turn my Paris blog into a blog about weird food cravings and nausea episodes (not that I really had either of those), nor do I want to transform this into a blog about everything baby (there are plenty of those already out there and they do it quite well). But I do want to share with all of you readers my absolute joy in this incredibly transforming time in my life.
It’s true what they say, when you give birth to a child, you find a source of love that you never felt before. It differs from the love I share with Chéri, and I couldn’t begin to describe it. It’s so primal and instinctive that it takes over every fiber of my being. I will never be the same, nor do I want to. Life will never be the same. Nor do I want it to.
I feel like I have a higher purpose now, and have a devotion to our little guy that supersedes all other priorities (hence why it has taken me a month to write this blog post). And I love every minute of it. Every cry, every wiggle, every sleepless night, every challenge, and every little step of progress he makes. I could quite possibly and with immense contentment spend all day just listening to him breathe.
So I would love for you to welcome to the world Bébé Chéri, the cutest baby in the world (not that I am biased or anything!), my new favorite person in the world, and the best thing to ever have happened to me.
