Bagelstein in the chic quartier!

image It’s Like New York has landed in Paris all of a sudden! (But suffice it to say that Paris is sweetly infiltrating New York as well). There are eateries and bistro joints popping up all over that have an authentic NYC/Brooklyn style to their charm. And frankly, I am not opposed since these two cities seem to have a little love affair with each other. Bagelstein is a lovely little franchise and can be found in several cities in Paris, and in several neighborhoods in Paris. It has arrived finally close to my work, which means I can indulge occasionally at lunch.

The latest “find” has fabulous and delicious NY bagels served up for lunch daily. You can build your own sandwich, grab a drink and go, or eat in and enjoy their delightful industrial chic decor design with hilarious pictures framed on the walls (read the captions they are fantastic). Ingredients are fresh and tasty. And there is so many versions of bagels with cream cheese that you’ll never miss it again. (I remember the days when cream cheese was IMPOSSIBLE to find in Paris) … I also remember the days when I used to be able to eat it. #DairyIntolerant

It’s a hot spot with the local professionals so you may run into people who work in the boutiques and offices around the Madeleine quarter. Perhaps it could be an interesting place to run into some Frenchies if you were trying to meet some and can’t seem to figure out how… Of course, they may be pressed for time and jabbering away with colleagues, but you never know…!
