Delicious! Foodie Paris Restaurant

Seç, or Turkish Delights in Paris

I'm hungry! What's for dinner?!?
One of the places Chéri and I have discovered in our new neighborhood is this fabulous little Turkish restaurant in the heart of one of Paris predominantly Jewish quarters. And as I have heard, the story goes a little like this : Several kosher restaurant prospectors had tried to convince the owners of Seç to sell them the business, with plans to open a kosher cuisine joint there. But the owners stood their ground and now those prospectors are loyal and happy patrons of the place.  It’s just that delicious! And popular.

We went there the other night for dinner with friends. It was our second time testing it out. I have a feeling we may become regulars! The pita bread and hummus…OMG! Amazing. And the grilled plate we shared between the four of us was really enough for six people.

You can have a lovely dinner for about 30 € a person. You may want to reserve ahead of time. It fills up fast. Especially if you plan to sit on the terrace.

imageWe sipped Turkish beer and talked the evening away on the open terrace amongst a slew of locals from all different demographics. It was a lovely eclectic sampling of Parisians, because rare are those Parisians who actually come from Paris.

Great Turkish and Mediterranean food served with a, actual smile.

This is a great place if you are looking to change the menu from what you always find in your neighborhood. And you can rest assured that it is delicious,  the Turkish population of Paris are obvious fans! You’ll see when you go.
