I headed over to the Champs Elysées to pop into the Eric Bompard boutique on a freakishly humid and muggy day this May for their press day. Cashmere and sweaters was certainly not the first thing on my mind, rather how many layers could I take off and where could I get a refreshing drink! Luckily they offered me a cold glass of sparkling water, and the A/C was on! Yes!

The collection was presented by an adorable young lady who was happy to model some scarves for us, and explained the different inspirations for various pieces and how the stitches were done to give certain looks. We especially like the giant violet Swarovski studded scarf, and the water-color printed scarf.

Everything from very fine lightweight cashmere knit to big comfy cable knit sweaters and jaquared designed cardigans, this is one of the cosiest clothing brands I could think of, yet remains so chic for it’s high quality cashmere wools.

What I also like about Eric Bompard sweaters is that in addition to the exceptional quality, these are divine cashmere pieces at an attainable price. The sweaters start at 150€, but there are also scarves, gloves, and accessories to play with, so there is something for most budgets here. They even have the most adorable kids line! I squealed over that. Yes, I am at that age where babies and baby things make me go “Eeeeeeee!”

Fall wear lines for 2012-2013 will be on the shelves in the coming months, so don’t forget to grab what will become your favorite new sweater for the winter!
