Romantic Weekend in Paris at Hotel Le Parisis
Article by Melissa Ladd
Our first weekend without Bébé Chéri, (whom his grand parents were thrilled to take care of overnight) was planned with cozy Paris romance in mind. In order to not be tempted by laundry and housework, we decided to take up on an offer of the Hotel Le Parisis to test out their refined establishment imagined by interior designer Pascale Douillard. Just steps away from the Eiffel Tower in the ultra Parisian quarter of La Motte Piquet Grenelle, we were thrilled with our sixth floor view of the Iron Lady, as well as a view down on metro line 6. So Paris!
We checked into our bright and spacious room and were greeted by macarons and a fruit basket. I bit into one of those delightful little salted caramel flavored bites and giggled in glee as I gazed out the window at the view. Our room was chic and modern yet soft and comfortable. The bathroom was filled with all the amenities that you would expect from a four star hotel in Paris and complete with toiletries from the very French brand Le Covent des Minimes. The bed was large and so inviting, and the décor was the perfect blend of whites, neutrals and a small hint of color to make it all feel simply peaceful and calm.
We spent our Saturday eating, browsing the fashion shops on the avenue Montaigne, and out for drinks, a movie and dinner. The perfect date for new parents who are leaving their child with someone for the first time.
We had diner at Nomad’s, one of our favorite date restaurants in Paris. French fusion food, with trendy décor that is easy to feel comfortable in, and friendly service, for only about 50€ per person with wine.
I recommend this place to everyone who asks for a good restaurant for dinner.
We were back to our hotel room in time to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle! I felt like a first time Parisian tourist, with my camera on and ready for the burst of twinkling lights. I will always feel the magic when that beautiful structure erupts into it’s nightly spectacle. It never gets old to me.
Sunday morning we had breakfast in bed, oh the delight!!!! A giant platter of breads and croissants with fresh orange juice, tea and yogurt was placed on our massive bed. I couldn’t have felt more luxurious!
We stayed until the very last minute, squeezing every drop of comfort out of our stay at the Hotel Le Parisis. The staff was more than gracious, and we would like to thank them for a most memorable stay. I think we may have to make this a yearly tradition! Next time we will take advantage of their sauna, and the garden-wall breakfast room.
If you want to be in the heart of one of the most Parisian neighborhoods, yet steps away from the Eiffel Tower, in a beautiful and comfortable hotel, you will find all you hope for at the wonderful address. Rooms start at 250€ per night, and you get everything you would want from a four star design hotel.
I’m so happy to read this! Sounds like a great night!
