Fauchon… you know the brand? I do! I walk by their store at the Place de la Madeleine almost every day. It’s French, pink, divine and elegant. I love to offer gifts from their stock of delights and indulgences. I even put some Fauchon chocolates in my party favor bags at the Prête-Moi Paris 3 year party. So you could say, I am a big fan of this French power house of delicious things to treat oneself to!
So when they contacted me to ask if I would like to try some of their new line of strawberry and yuzu infused products, I replied an enthusiastic “OUI!”
A box of twelve delightful little round wafer biscuits that are so fun and delicious it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to eat them without wanting to photograph them from every angle. The yuzu is a citrus fruit found in a Japan and blends perfectly with strawberry sweetness.
Also in this new line of products is a magnificent new version of the “Saint Honoré” pastry, a yuzu and strawberry jam, a violet and wild strawberry flavored tea, and foi gras with fraises confites…. I think that last one would be orgasmic.
But back to the macarons… Chéri’s verdict… he finds them “better than Ladurée”!!!!! Ther are soft and velvety on the inside, light and slightly crispy on the outer shell, and give way with a soft crunch as you slowly sink your teeth into the round and delicate French cookie.
And moi, who is a big fan of delivery…they can deliver the box to your home in Paris, or throughout France. Win!
Macarons being quite fragile they cannot travel very far through the post. But some of their other products can be ordered and sent all over the world!
Order from the store at place Madeleine, or on the internet. The store is open from Monday to Saturday from 9h00 – 20h30 (perfect timing for me for when I get off work and can run over for a fix!). French macarons, my favorite indulgence!
Warning : If you watch this video, you will have an urgent and excessive need to eat some!
