Kate Spade, the queen of Fun New York fashion, has taken the leap over the “pond” (the Atlantic ocean) and snagged a very chic address on rue Saint Honoré, in the heart of Paris, and on one of THE best shopping streets in the City of Light.

I found myself with five minutes to spare the other day and ducked in the shop to see what Madame Spade brought to Paris. 418 rue Saint Honoré has been transformed into what looks like a swanky New York town house boutique. It is simply irresistible with all sorts of enticing leather goods, jewelry accessories, shoes and clothes filling the drawers and shelves. I wanted to touch everything, and I did try a few things in the several minutes I allowed myself to linger.  Had I had more time to shop, I would have done some serious damage because everything it cute, chic and charming.

It’s fun having Kate Spade on the block, just down the street from French power houses Hermès, Chanel and Dior. Granted her prices pale in comparison, and the quality isn’t as luxurious as these French pinnacles of craftsmanship and luxury, BUT, I know Kate Spade will find an abundant amount of success in her new digs because, it’s nice to have something fresh, Friendly, frilly and slightly more affordable!
