Defined Moment – Haute Couture SS15 – The Wedding Collection
For all the past seasons that I have been invited to the presentation of Defined Moment, I have been unable to go, and have had one of my contributors attend. Finally this season I was free, and am so glad I got to see this collection for myself. It was breathtaking!
Titled “White Moment”, this collection was entire dedicated to the wedding dress, and the moment where a couple unifies itself as an entity. Dresses were hanging from the ceiling as if suspending this most important moment in time…
I got a chance to speak directly with the designer Nga, about why she decided to go for an entire bridal collection, and she told me that she felt it was one of the more defining moments of life, and the catalyst for life, the union of two people who desire to make a promise to one another and who want to create life. I was standing there in front of her, almost 7 months pregnant trying not to get teary eyed! Her concept of the tree of life is absolutely visible in this collection, as it is in every collection, but there is something about the pureness of white that brought her concept to a new and higher level, for me. Or maybe it was my pregnant emotional state… Regardless I was quite moved by this stunning collection.
