Busardi Haute Couture SS15 – Air
The mother-son team from Thailand have created their own brand together since 2009, but couture has been a family tradition for much longer than that. Busardi Muntarbhorn learned her art from her mother, Yoswadee, who had created the most renowned couture house in Thailand. Busardi’s son is driving the marking and communications side of the family business.
Designed and created in Thailand, this collection in taffetas, silks, organza, tulle, muslin, feathers and lace concentrates on a palette of pastels with some bright violet and turquoise that offer an idea of airiness and a lightweight sensation that is the inspiration of the collection. A breath of oxygen from the delicate waving feathers on the more structured pieces, and an idea of floating on the fluid silhouettes exemplify exactly that breeze that blew in to infuse this collection with movement.
All noble materials, and hand made pieces, crafted over the span of 4-5 months for the whole collection, the savoir faire of haute couture is undeniable in this designers work.
Completing the collection are pieces of hand crafted crystal jewelry that offers a beautiful compliment to such fantastical gowns and dresses.
It was a delight to discover this designer. We hope to see them return again and again to Paris Fashion week.
