The dynamic duo that began the communication and blogger relations agency, Wilina, two fabulous Parisian women : Nathalie and Sheilly, have thrown their Summer promo party just in time before the rain descended upon Paris. Whew! So we can’t say that we didn’t get to benefit from a little Summertime fun!
In an oasis of calm just around the corner from the busy Trocadero sector, the Hôtel Renaissance Paris Le Parc Trocadero (part of the Marriott group) had a large patio area reserved just for us. Aaaaaah…. A five star jewel with an incredible garden, it truly is the perfect place to stay in Paris on your summer vacation.
The brands the girls promoted at this event were perfect for the theme and for our desperate need to feel like Summer may actually arrive this year.
Cyrillus, with their light and airy capsule collection of fashion and soft toned home decor was a great brand to browse for the home and the whole family. I was lusting after some pretty floral dresses and imagine wearing those along the French Normandy coast this August. Complete with a straw style hat, what else could make you feel in a summery mood more?!? And of course, the darling little frocks for bébé chéris and bébé chéries… Such a great French brand that is rather affordable.
And what doesn’t say Summer better than sunglasses! Optic2000 eyewear to be exact, for the sunny days to come (we hope). They had a cute set up for the soirée with inspiration from Sex and the City, but with name changes (for legal reasons surely), and to make it slightly more Frenchy! A selection of eyewear styles for the seductive Sabrina girl, the smart Melinda girl, the elegant Charlie girl and the trendy Karie girl. We got to select a pair we liked, and get a photo taken by a very high tech machine complete with large screen, and emailing option to send it immediately to ourselves as well as collect our rapidly made print. I was pretty impressed. The perfect thing to have a fun summer party! But even more impressive was the varied selection of styles of sunnies to wear this summer. I had several that I really liked on me, which is not easy, I am so picky when it comes to eyewear (I have a complex about my nose actually). I can’t wait for the sun to come back to Paris so I can use a pair of these super shades.
We also had fantastic beverages from Perrier!
Perrier, with their new line of exquisitely flavored sparkling waters, to be mixed in cocktails (virgin or spiked) or simply sipped with delight. Along with the new ad which reaches back into the brand’s nostalgia for inspiration is fun and fabulous, just like their new line of beverages. I had the a strawberry mint virgin cocktail that was made with their strawberry flavored (sugar-free) sparkling water. So fresh and perky! Later in the evening I had the cinnamon, apple cocktail (with a little whisky) and I actually exclaimed “Oh my god!” when I took the first sip, it seriously tasted like apple pie. It was amazing!
We were invited to also have a glass of bubbly from Jean-Noël Haton champagne : Because in France, any occasion is a good excuse for champagne! Need we say more???
Slendertone : To give us a little boost in achieving that beach body we hope o have in time for vacation! Lord knows I need some toning up. At over a year post-birth of Bébé Chéri, and I still am only able to squeezing into my previous wardrobe. So the new Slendertone shorts will be the perfect addition to my list of ways to get back into shape, especially since they help sculpt the rear end! There is an app that you can have along with the shorts or belt that helps you program your fitness and keep on track with the rest of your plan to get into shape. Très helpful.
And of course, AlloResto was serving of some delicious bites from one of their popular restaurants 750g La Table and chef Damien. After all that talk about getting into shape, I was glad the portions were bite sized! But oh là là they were delicious (it was hard to only have one of each). And the Allo Resto team is so positive, so friendly and such foodies it’s hard to turn anything down! Allo Resto is the oldest restaurant delivery service in Paris, and has been in activity for over 20 years. Wow.
